Privacy Policy

This explains what data we collect on this site, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated August 2026.

What we collect

If you fill out our contact form, we get whatever you type in it — your name, email address, and message. If you sign up for the newsletter, we get your email address and nothing else. We don’t require an account to read anything on this site, so if you’re just browsing, we’re not collecting a name or email from you directly.

Like most websites, we automatically log some technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how long you stayed. This comes through standard server logs and any analytics tool we run, and it’s tied to your device, not your name.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays ads served through Google AdSense (or a similar network). These networks set their own cookies to control ad frequency and, where permitted, personalize which ads you see based on browsing activity across sites — not just this one. We don’t control what those third-party cookies do; Google’s own privacy policy covers that in more detail than we can.

You can turn off personalized advertising through your Google account settings, or block cookies generally in your browser. Some site features may work differently with cookies disabled, but the articles themselves will still load fine.

What we do with your data

Contact form messages go to our team’s inbox to be read and, where relevant, replied to. Newsletter emails go to our sending platform to deliver the emails you signed up for. We don’t sell contact information or email addresses to anyone, and we don’t share your message contents outside the team unless we’re legally required to.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to resolve whatever you wrote in about, then deleted periodically. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe — every email we send has an unsubscribe link that actually works.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold on you, ask us to delete it, or unsubscribe from anything at any time. The fastest way is through our Contact page — tell us what you’d like and we’ll handle it directly rather than routing you through a form-within-a-form.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters — a new type of data collection, a new third-party tool — we’ll update the date at the top. We won’t quietly expand what we collect without reflecting it here.
